An Exciting Opportunity for Legal and Governance Professionals
The Board of Pastures & Grazing NSW is currently seeking an individual with expertise in legal and/or governance to join the Board as a voluntary, non-executive Director. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the agricultural sector in New South Wales while expanding your knowledge and skills in a vital industry.
Role and Responsibilities
As a member of the Board, you will be expected to:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the sustainable management of Pastures & Grazing NSW
- Offer legal and governance expertise to guide the Board's decisions and policies
- Work collaboratively with other board members to support farmers and land managers to improve on-farm practices, productivity and profitability
- Participate in regular Board meetings and contribute to the development of long-term strategies
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A strong background in legal or governance fields, with relevant qualifications and experience or a willingness to learn
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
